In the framework of 11th exhibition Zootechnia, the Conference titled agroCIRCLE “The implementation of Circular Economy to Agriculture and Livestock farming”, co-organized by the carrier DETH/HELEXPO and the company Success Consulting and Financing, was conducted in “Ioannis Vellidis” Conference Center in the city of Thessaloniki.  The Conference started simultaneously with the beginning of the 11th International Exhibition Zootechnia and was greeted by all the invited state sectors and speakers.

In the Conference, there were speakers from different European countries such as Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, where they introduced to an audience of 400 participants and about 1500 through live streaming, pioneering applications of Circular Economy and also presentations of scientific interest from academic staff, European Union executives, bankers and businessmen related to Circular Economy. The bald and promising present of the participants, sent a vigorous message to any direction that the practical implementation of Circular Economy in the everyday life of European citizens has become a necessity.

 

The Conference was held under the auspices of DGENV (European Commission), the Region of Central Macedonia, the Region of Thessaly and City of Thessaloniki. The biggest Universities of the country, the American Farm School, the Perrotis College and also the CERTH, have all  provided their scientific support. In addition, to the organization participated a large number of municipalities, Chambers and the Technical Chamber of Central Macedonia.

 

A further briefing of the Circular Economy and its practical implementations in farming and livestock not only in our country but also in Europe, was achieved during the conference.

 

In the framework of the Conference, the President of DETH/HELEXPO announced the planning  of the first exhibition of Circular Economy titled “Circular Economia” in cooperation with Success Consulting and Financing, establishing future targets.
